I have acopy of a stradivarius, in original case ,excellent condition given to me by a man from the czech.?

It has its original bow , and case. Its, an excellent condition.Where do I get it appraised/

OK, slow down a little. There are many violins that are copies of a Stradivarius. They range from Very Fine instruments, worth quite a bit, to student violins. Keep in mind that the bow is often worth more than the violin (in other words don't overlook the bow itself).

I would take it to a violin shop and ask someone there to look at it. They will be able to give you an idea about whether it is a High Quality violin (and bow) or not. Although I tend to trust these type stores, be sure you can identify the bow. It is well known that bows are often overlooked by unknowledgeable owners and that fact would make them a prime target for swapping out with a lesser one. Just a word to the wise.

You then will have some kind of idea from there. They might take it on consignment or tell you further what the best thing to do would be. If you put it on consignment make sure you have full documentation (instrument and bow) and will be shown the original sales slip when/if sold. The store should not get more than about 10% of the selling price.
